Liberal Arts - Minor

A required minor area of study provides an additional focus for a student's study and contributes to the breadth of the Bachelor of Arts degree. Minors available include Theology, Philosophy, English, History, Psychology, and Business Administration. The number of hours required for completion of the minor will vary, depending on the minor chosen.

Theology minor (12 hours)
Any four courses in Theology at the 300 or 400 level
Philosophy minor (9 hours)
Any three courses in Philosophy at the 300 or 400 level
English minor (12 hours)
Any four courses in English at the 300 or 400 level
History minor (12 hours)
Any four courses in History at the 300 or 400 level
Psychology minor (18 hours)
PSY115 General Psychology (if not taken for the BA core)
Any five courses in Psychology at the 300 or 400 level
Business Administration minor (21 hours)
ECO220 Microeconomics (if not taken for the BA core)
FIN215 Principles of Financial Accounting and Analysis
MGT300 Principles of Management
MKT302 Principles of Marketing
BUS360 Business Law
PHI355 Business Ethics and Social Responsibility
MGT460 Personnel Management

It is not possible to major and minor in the same discipline, and coursework completed for a major may not be duplicated to complete a minor. The hours listed for each minor above are those required in addition to the requirement for each discipline in the Bachelor of Arts core curriculum.
