In 1968, Pope Paul VI promulgated the Church's official teaching on the transmission of human life. His was a voice of clarity and compassion regarding the family. This panel discussion explores the richness of Paul VI's thought, exposes the medical and moral complications regarding contraception, and offers a better option for women.

Sister Mary Diana, O.P., M.D., a member of the Aquinas College Board of Directors, has been providing healthcare for medically underserved patients at the Saint Thomas Family Health Center South Clinic since 2007. After entering the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia Congregation in 1989, Sister Mary Diana completed her medical training and residency in internal medicine at Vanderbilt University in 2004. Sister presents an engaging medical perspective to current moral issues affecting women and families.

Reverend John O'Neill, M.D. is the chaplain of The Dominican Campus in Nashville. A native of Ireland who served as a missionary surgeon in Pakistan before entering the priesthood in 1989, Father O'Neill draws both from his medical experience in obstetrics as well as his pastoral experience working with couples and others in their formation of conscience. His gentle and sincere approach to Humanae Vitae combines medical facts with priestly insight.

Kim Derrick, a wife and mother of six young children, is a natural family planning (NFP) instructor at St. Henry Church in Nashville. Currently enrolled in the Aquinas College nursing program, Kim aspires to be a "pro-life nurse" and has been trained by internationally renowned NFP trainer, Mercedes Wilson of the Family of Americas.
