Mission

The Center for Catholic Education at Aquinas College serves Catholic elementary and secondary schools by providing spiritual and professional formation opportunities in the area of mission and Catholic identity.

About the Center

Formation may be given for faculty and staff members of individual schools or on a diocesan level.

We collaborate with the principals and/or superintendents to customize formation sessions by grouping topics in order to meet needs of content or length of sessions. Please contact us!

Sister Elizabeth Anne

Sister Elizabeth Anne Allen, O.P., Ed.D.

Sister Elizabeth Anne Allen, O.P., Ed.D. is a member of the faculty of the School of Education and founding Director of the Center for Catholic Education at Aquinas College. Her doctoral research concerns student perspectives of Catholic identity as it is expressed and lived out in their schools. Having served in the roles of teacher and administrator on the elementary, secondary, and collegiate levels, Sister is passionate about the importance of teaching and is involved nationally with the professional formation of educators.

Sister Mary Agnes Greiffendorf, O.P., Ph.D.

Sister Mary Agnes Greiffendorf, O.P. has taught at all levels of education and served in numerous administrative positions including elementary school principal, President of Aquinas College, Director of the Institute for the Transformation of Catholic Education at The Catholic University of America, and Director of Education for her religious congregation. She served on the Board of Directors for the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) from 2016-2022, and was a Consultant to the Committee on Catholic Education of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) from 2021-2024.
